Accounting Manager

As Accounting Manager at Point Blue, I ensure that all the accounting practices follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) guidelines. I oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes and makes sure all procedures are followed for reporting for the monthly and annual financial statements and audit.

I have been in the non-profit accounting field for more than 15 years and enjoy working for non-profits. I started out as an accounts receivable associate and started learning all aspects of the financial workings of a non-profit organization. I spent many years as the payroll and benefits manager and then the overall finance and accounting manager.

I have written procedure manuals for all the different aspects of finance and accounting, as well as processes for making sure internal controls are in place.

I am really happy to be supporting an organization that will benefit the planet for years to come and to be able to support people who have such a strong passion about what they do to accomplish that.

For my personal enjoyment I love to sew and paint and try to go hiking and camping as much as possible.

I currently mostly work from home but can be found at the Petaluma office from time to time.
