Palomarin Live: Fall Migrants, Lookers, and Vagrants, Oh My!

Facebook Live

9:30am-10am

Facebook Live

Join the bird banders at Point Blue’s Palomarin Field station as we approach peak fall migration season in the Coastal North Bay. We’ll be chatting about the newest wave of migrant songbirds to be moving through the area, telling viewers about our upcoming Bird-a-thon efforts and how they can support us, and hoping for a vagrant songbird to show up in our nets!

RSVP and mark your calendar via Facebook here. (If you’re not on social media, you can see a recordings of our Live from the Field programs on YouTube here.)

Our Palomarin Field Station is open to the public. Consider visiting us! Learn how on our “Contact & Visit Us” web page, www.pointblue.org/visit.

Learn how to join or support our Bird-A-Thon at www.pointblue.org/birdathon.

All banding, marking, and sampling is being conducted under a federally authorized Bird Banding Permit issued by the U.S. Geological Survey’s BBL (or the BBO in Canada).

Point Blue apprentices and staff at our Palomarin Field Station host these live events in an effort to further engage the public in our science. We are grateful to our partners at the Point Reyes National Seashore, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, and Bolinas Lagoon Open Space Preserve; to our surrounding Bolinas and West Marin community; and to numerous Point Blue and Palomarin supporters, for their support of our work.
