Sophie Leveque-Eichhorn

Partner Biologist, Jackson/Sonora County

I am so excited to be in my role as Partner Biologist up in the Sierra Foothills where I can focus my effort to improve conservation practices on California’s working lands.

I attended Sonoma State University and hold a degree in Environmental Studies with a focus in Conservation and Restoration. I have worked in agriculture for the past seven years, most recently as a manager of a 1400-acre cattle ranch on the Sonoma Coast, and have enjoyed exploring the intersection of agriculture and conservation work. Prior to joining the Point Blue Working Lands Team I spent an amazingly fun six months working as a Restoration Technician on the STRAW team.

I was born and raised in Sonoma County and have been lucky enough to spend countless hours exploring the natural landscape of this beautiful county. I grew up in the hills outside of Healdsburg where I could most often be found reading a book under a tree or playing in the creek that ran through our backyard. When I am not working, I can mostly be found working on a project in my garden or orchard with my partner, birding with my grandfather or swimming in the ocean.
