900 Sanford Road, Santa Rosa, CA 95401
Join Pont Blue Conservation Science’s 46th Annual Rich Stallcup Bird-A-Thon by attending this collaborative walk. Point Blue and the Laguna de Santa Rosa Foundation invite you to be a flock up with the Fledglings Bird-A-Thon team and bird with a purpose.
Just like any other “thon” you will be asking your friends and family to sponsor you as you raise funds for a great cause: conservation! Instead of miles walked or run, you’ll be counting as many bird species with this beginner team as you can within our 2-hour walk. You can ask folks to sponsor you per bird species or just make a flat donation. We will likely see 30-60 species in our 2 hours together.
Lishka Arata, Point Blue Biologist turned Educator turned Communicator, will be your team captain. This is a family-friendly, all levels, inclusive walk where your guide will provide birding basics and help the group identify the amazing species that inhabit this iconic Sonoma County wetland. Extra binoculars will be provided along with access to a spotting scope to see birds up close!
Sign up for this walk here via this Eventbrite.
Space is limited so grab your spot now!
We’d love for you to register for the Fledglings team here and help us raise fund for conservation. Please join us either way. Reach out to birdathon@pointblue.org if you need help.
The Laguna de Santa Rosa Foundation works to restore and conserve the Laguna de Santa Rosa, and to inspire appreciation for this Sonoma County Wetland of International Importance. Point Blue is proud to collaborate and partner with them towards shared goals.
