Young Friends Restoration Field Day

Novato Baylands

9:30AM-12:30PM

The Young Friends of Point Blue offers events for the 21 – 40 age group.

By the time many of us were born, 90% of SF Bay wetlands were destroyed for human use. Today, we recognize the benefits of healthy wetlands-for people and wildlife. A multi-agency effort to restore the Novato Baylands began in 1999, and in 2012 Point Blue’s Students and Teachers Restoring A Watershed (STRAW) program brought schools into the action. By 2022, Point Blue took the lead of this 177-acre site and its native plant nursery. We hope you’ll become part of the story.

At this Field Day, you’ll get to tour the thriving nursery, get your hands dirty (literally!) helping out with a restoration project, and enjoy lunch afterward. Whether you’re new to Young Friends or you’ve been with us for a while, we’d love to have you come and pitch in!

Register by emailing youngfriends@pointblue.org and spread the word so we can make a difference together!!
