As a Restoration Project Manager for Students and Teachers Restoring A Watershed at Point Blue, I oversee planning, implementation and monitoring of riparian and wetland restoration projects. Our work is dynamic with numerous sites, partners, watersheds, habitat and property types. The projects span both private and public land in urban and rural areas. We use adaptive management to get the best return for our efforts in an ever changing planet. I always love a challenge and it is important to stay informed of the latest research as we plan and implement our projects. Working at Point Blue brings about a merging of science, education and passion to manage our resources wisely.
I grew up in Santa Rosa, California and attended Humboldt State University with a Major in Environmental Science and Minor in Appropriate Technology. My hobbies are found outdoors finding peace in the ocean, thrill on the rocks and necessity on the ground. You will often find me with the Milo Baker Chapter of the California Native Plant Society.
I work from the Petaluma headquarters, and at our numerous field sites around northern San Francisco Bay Area.
