Serena Myjer

Restoration Technician

I’m a restoration technician with the STRAW program and I’m passionate about working in conservation because I want a livable future for myself and everyone else around me. Prior to joining Point Blue, I worked at nonprofit Grassroots Ecology through Americorps, doing habitat restoration, environmental education, seed collection and nursery work, and water quality monitoring in local creeks. Because of my great interest in plants, I have done botanical surveys and attended botany workshops to learn more about California’s amazing flora. I have a bachelors of arts from Claremont Mckenna College, where I completed a thesis entitled “Drought Tolerant Landscaping Trends in Claremont, California.”

I enjoy hiking, biking, baking, volunteering with local organizations, and restoring mine and my friend’s yards.
