The Wild Wonder of Sierra Nevada Meadows
August 8, 2024
Thank you for your interest in Sierra Nevada meadows! Point Blue Conservation Science, The Sierra Meadows Partnership, and Wild Wonder Foundation artists and leaders have collaborated to create this crowd-sourced infographic that shares information about the values of healthy mountain meadows. We hope it inspires you to learn more, get involved, and support the restoration of degraded Sierra Nevada meadows.
Here’s how to help Sierra Nevada meadows:
- Learn more about Sierra Nevada meadow restoration and climate-smart conservation efforts on the Sierra Meadows Partnership website
- Explore new efforts to scale up meadow restoration across the State of California here on Point Blue’s Climate-Smart Meadow Restoration Program StoryMap
- Join a Nature journaling event with Wild Wonder by keeping an eye on their event calendar here
- Visit the new Sierra Valley Preserve visitor center near Sierraville after its grand opening in Fall 2024 , pick up a poster there and explore more habitat and information
- Become a Point Blue Conservation Science supporter at any level to support a legacy of environmental conservation in California’ Sierra Nevada meadows and beyond
The Sierra Meadows Partnership is working to restore 30,000 acres of mountain meadows by 2030 to benefit all Californians.
This infographic is a living team effort!
